Peshawar: (RightNow) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Soahil Afridi remains firm on his stance despite emergency threats. He stated that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have made countless sacrifices for peace, but the current policy has wasted these efforts.
Soahil Afridi revealed that over 80,000 people in the province have sacrificed their lives. He warned the federal government that protests against the return of terrorism have been held in various districts, but the federal authorities dismissed them as false.
The Chief Minister said that due to the current policy, the public in the province is falling victim to terrorism. He urged the federal government to consider the plight of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s people and change the policy.
It is clear that the development budget for enhancing the police’s capacity was cut by 35 billion rupees. However, the police budget was increased by 103% to ensure the restoration of peace.
It should be noted that Soahil Afridi has demanded a policy change from the federal government, stating that it is unacceptable to plunge Khyber Pakhtunkhwa back into the fire of terrorism. He mentioned that adopting a new policy could bring peace within 100 days.
